Welcome to Langford Parish Council's Web site we hope you find it informative and helpful.

Langford is a large village some three miles south of Biggleswade bordering the River Ivel - It comprises 1,280 residences homing 3,090 people.  Langford is early Saxon for the "Long Ford" and the village can be traced back to the Doomsday Book.

The village provides for its residents through the provision of its own doctors surgery, pharmacy, butchers, post office, garage, beauty salons, farm shops, general stores along with the Methodist Chapel and St Andrews Church.

Our children benefit from pre-school and lower school facilities with the higher education sites nearby at Henlow and Shefford.  We have a strong association with the Cubs, Scouts and Guiding fraternity all of whom are well represented in our village.

There is a well utilised good village hall and extensive playing field both funded and well maintained by the Parish Council. Together they provide the home for the varied sports organisations that operate from the village.  In addition there are many other recreational groups and organisations meeting elsewhere in the village.

In the event you need to contact us the Parish Clerk can be contacted as follows and our Councillors contact details are provided on the Councillors Page.
