Three Counties Walk

10th Anniversary Walk Breaks All Records - The Last Word on the Walk

The traditional Walk Presentation evening was held on 2nd July at The Three Hills when it was announced that our tenth anniversary event attracted an all-time record 680 walkers and raised a record net sum of £16,000 - £5,333 for each of our three causes - £1,000 per cause more than last year. Our ‘most sponsorship’ competition was a dead heat, at £335, between serial prize-winners Grayce Cannon, aged 6, of Haverhill and John Haine of Shudy Camps. Grayce has won three years running and, in that time, raised a total of £700 and John has, in four winning years, raised £1,800! It was also announced that the 2014 Walk will support Cardiology as its Addenbrooke’s cause. Our photographers, Stephen and Cathy did a great job of recording the event and the slide show was one of our most entertaining.
